i think tetris would be a very difficult game to program. i don't think i'll ever be making a puzzle game.

Alexi Pajitnov decided to call his game tetris because each block is made up of 4 little blocks. the russian word for 4 is 'tetra' (shut up richard, I know). to make the game sound more like a sport he added the 'is' sound to make it sound like tennis, which is a sport the last time i checked. there you go. this also answers the question of why women don't like me in a romantic way.

Side note:Tetris, having derived the name form the ancient Greek word τετράς meaning four.
(and shut up david it took you years to beat that game where I was done wit it in under a month)
