i wish i could do that, but if i don't start college asap, i'll be finished my med schooling at age 30...not what i want to do. and yes, i mean north dakota. UND is the flight school Richard hopes to go to, and it turns out they have a great undergrad med program and a graduate med school, and the latter is something uwm doesn't have. besides that, they have lots of housing options, and supposedly ND has reciprocity with wisconsin, which would also save us from paying at least a semester of expensive non-resident tuition. and david, if you take rob's advice and do that, you could even be a part-time student at the center, and get some of your GER's out of the way. even if you move to milwaukee, it'll cost a little more, but you can go part-time there and then after a year or working and saving switch to full time and then maybe you could get a bachelor's degree in 4 years and 1 semester instead of 5 years. ah, off i go again with all my crazy plans that sound great but probably aren't as simple as they seem. idk. just please don't go joining something that'll get you shipped off to the frontlines in iraq and killed.

i suppose an empty state would be good for a flight school
and i agree with anna on the whole frontlines thing. If you really really want to join, i'll be behind you, but i'd rather you'd stay away from the desert

I went to orientation at UWEC a week ago...there were lots of trees and a river--that's about all i remember of it. Nice place, tho.
Also, my first year there will be a b*tch because i'm trying to get all the boring classes needed for my geology major out of the way first (chem, math, etc.)
Also also, i've realized that i'll probably be living off of the different varieties of raman noodles for awhile (all 32 of them).
Not to mention that uwec has a crapload of stupid required courses (who requires students to have cultural literacy credits?!), and all i really want to take there is philosophy, japanese, and geology, but they won't let me take jap, they made the philosophy classes amazingly boring by appyling the concepts to the "real world", and as afore mentioned, geology requires tons of other classes to major in...ugh. Oh well, at least there'll be field trips to Japan, Hawaii, Alsaka, and Iceland for geology classes...
yeah, but the actual cost of them is surprisingly minimal...i guess they almost realized that the student body isn't completely comprised of snotty white preps who play polo and chug down caviar.
As a kid I always wanted to go just to find out, but I just recently found out that Iceland was voted to have the largest percentage of hot women. Good incentive to go

zach, let me ask you this: do you actually think you're going to get lucky with a hot iceland woman merely by going there?
