What is your favorite themed level in any video game and why? Mario had his lava levels, Donkey Kong Country had mine kart level, but what one hold a special place in your heart or spleen or other organ of choice?
Ice levels (Mario 3) and city levels (sonic 2) are kickass.
Some water levels (Maridia in Super Metroid) can be OK. I can't really think of a certain theme in a game that I love with all of my bodily appendages, though.
Was Mario 3 the one with the racoon and frog outfits? If so, I liked that one. Also, the city levels in Sonic are the best because all that stuff makes the speed seem that much greater!
I guess I wasn't all that serious about the whole body part thing... so don't feel bad.
let'see... i always liked the technological/magical machine areas that you typically find in the later areas of some rpg's (a great example would be the black omen from chrono trgger.) you guys probably dont know what im talking about...
post-apocolyptic or futuristic cities were also pretty neat too.

Personally, my favorite is from Psychonauts. Your character grew up in a circus, and your mind fuses with the mind of a guy who's father was a butcher SO the level is called the Meat Circus. It's hilarious and all the tramplines are steaks and stuff.
I couldn't find any good pic on the internet of it, but I encourage you all to play it if you like platformers and a good laugh.
Psychonauts had the best level designs EVAR! My favorite was the paranoid schizophrenic's... or perhaps the fish one.... then again, Napoleon's was... ****, they're all the best.
I liked the dream and painting levels in Oblivion. But the water temple in Ocarina of time will forever be the my favorite. You've truly accomplished something when you beat it.
