yeah, I'll die and everyone i Know will die and we'll rot in the ground.
but i'll affect people, who will affect people, who will affect people.
just because no one remembers me doesn't mean I didn't exist, or that it didn't matter, or that what I did in my life didn't matter.
I'm personally making the future slightly (hardly..) better: I don't eat meat, I don't drive, I recycle, etc. etc etc. I vote for a a president who does stuff that will affect generations. My name won't be personally attached to things, but that's not what's important.

I'm guessing the "all of humanity gone forever" thing is something dealing with "Judgement day"? well, as an atheist, that wouldn't exist. so your viewpoint from an atheist view to prove atheism as nihilism doesn't work.

religion involves too much procrastination.
I only have this life, and a certain number of years. I need to make the best of it becuase i don't have all of eternity afterwards to hang out with friends and tell people I love them.

if wer're getting into a "who's the nihilist" debate, I could argue that people who believe in an afterlife are nihilistic because they're so busy thinking about the afterlife to live their actual life. a sort of none of this matters, it's all about what's after.

but I'm not getting into that debate, because it's a stretch.
nihilists are nihilists.
