failed because there are plenty of book threads to post these in...
but it doesn't make sense to try to have a discussion on one book in a thread about all books, if anything you'd get a "that's a good book." and then people would move on. I was looking for an actual in depth conversation about the books, perhaps an analysis on them or criticisms, or just appreciation.
I could use the same logic and say that you guys don't need all those separate video game threads, as you could easily post them all in the same place.
granted, apparently no one here reads these books, but I wasn't aware of that.

I figured people at least read lolita and sartre, or had something to contribute to the others, be it "hilarious" jokes about the contortionist's handbook being about how to be a contortionist.
or maybe shiit about people stealing people's kidneys and selling them on the black market for the phineas poe one..
