I'm giving Charles Bukowski one more chance. I read Hot Water Music and every story was just a short story about some sort of middle aged guy who was kind of out of shape, a failed author, drank constantly, and pretty much liked some lady that wasn't so interested either anymore or ever.
uhhh
but I picked up notes of a dirty old man by him, and I only read two pages, and the writing style is better so far, but I'm only three pages into it.
does anyone else read bukowski? I think I'm just disappointed because everyone is all OH MY GOD BUKOWSKI BUKOWSKI BUKOWSKI AWESOME BLAH BUKOWSKI EPIC RAD COOL.
I'm sure whoever decides if you're retarded or not could be bribed with cupcakes.
I'm reading The Phantom Tollbooth. It's painfully simple, the illustrations are lousy, and it was written fifty years ago so the english doesn't flow as nicely as it does now. Did I mention it's simple? I'm reading it because I hate seeing movies BEFORE I read the books and aparently I'm supposed to watch the movie with Michelle which equals me reading it...
