i just went to my second lab this morning (i overslept and missed my first one last week). my TA is middle eastern or something and is impossible to understand. i'm in my chem lecture right now, and Dr. Bennett is still going on about moles and masses and analysis of shit. my TA for my discussion is also some sort of thickly-accented minority..mexican or whatever, and all we did was book problems for 50 minutes. all our quizzes are on D2L and our homework is on ARIS. Does chem 100 use ARIS or just D2L?

I've never heard of Aris, and chem 100 is listed on D2L but all that's on there is the syllabus and quiz answers. Everything is in class, it's great. I have a middle eastern chick for discussion, Farida Hossain, and she constantly screws up when she's making examples.
I don't have a chem lab, but I'll be taking physics with a lab next semester. Architecture sucks so far. We have to build a model right away and it's due next friday. I don't even know how to build a model and I just found the floor plan for my building today. Looks like this weekend will be devoted completely to that.
-buy some sheets of 1/4" or 1/8" foam board -a hot glue gun and glue -xacto knife (they have a special ones for cutting foam board) -paints (if required)
Also, go to a to a model train store for good props and stuff, if required.
Are you going to SARUP? If you are, you're lucky, because I wish I were there right now.
Yes I'm in SARUP, no foam board though, they outlawed it last year to save the environment (Who cares?). I bought a kit with glue and knife and straightedge and cutting board and other stuff. I need to make this thing out of museum board apparently, but my building has columns and stuff and I don't know how to make round columns out of that when the thing is scaled down to 8x8. Here's my building, which I now noticed the columns are square mostly, that 2nd floor will be murder though.
i was 15 min. late to my 1pm class, and i'm spending the lecture on my computer ignoring the professor's useless rambling about things that have nothing to do with our homework. i think he might not know what class he's teaching...and damnit, i can't remember how to do empirical formulas. i need to grab my old chem notes when i go home this weekend.

Yes, my model's due date got pushed back a week, now I can procrastinate for another whole week. Also, between the Chem and EMS buildings is like a wind tunnel. I swear the wind goes twice as fast there as anywhere else, and it was really hard walking through those gusts today while carrying my huge boards for the model, eating a cookie, and trying to keep my hat on.
you guys make college seem harder than it really is...RELAX
o, btw, i found out that Wis used to be an ocean floor, had violent volcanic activity, AND had giant 6-foot long man-eating rollie-pollies...i'm so happy with my major
my sister used to find sea shells in our back yard when she was little, and we live pretty far from the lake.
the website that my chem homework is on (ARIS) keeps having server problems, so our professor keeps having to push back our due dates. i think he wants to kill the publishers of that software. but it works for me. i was going to finish my homework before i left for the weekend, since it was due on sunday, but i only got about 3/4 of it done. now, however, i have until oct 1 to finish it. yay.
and i think you're right about that Chem-EMS wind tunnel theory, now that you mention it. i wonder why it does that...

college isn't that hard, although i really procrastinated on my english paper, spent too much time with kylie this weekend. Now I have to write it ALL tomorrow. Oh well, the hardest part of the whole thing will be to find an expert on my subject, or just someone who knows a lot about it, and quote them on it so I can put it in my paper.
OH, Do any of you know any inkling on PHOTOVOLTAICS, because if you do, then I can quote YOU, and then use it in my paper. If you guys do, please get back to me sometime tomorrow before 5pm. That would be mega sweet.
Thanks

i have a psuch paper due on tuesday, and an english paper that was supposed to be due on tuesday, thank god she moved the deadline to thursday. but i need to organize and interview with someone for the stupid english thing. i was going to work on my psych paper sunday, but i spent more time with richard than i planned, and then i spent my evening orchestrating this crazy plan to get richard's stuff to milwaukee, which actually ended up working much better than i expected, but replaced my study time with running to whitelaw with my parent's car to pick up a trailer, taking apart richard's loft, packing up the trailer..etc. i'm still surprised my parents trusted me to take thier nice SUV to milwaukee, and with a trailer too. it worked though.
