I had to finish an outline for a paper today, but I didn't give two ****s about the topic (population control in India) so I decided to just not do it. We have to write three papers for this class, and the worst paper of the three gets dropped. I figured that there wouldn't be a point to waste my time on this paper when I don't care about the subject, because whatever I write would turn out to be ****.
Why would I waste my time on a paper that wouldn't count for anything?
It wouldn't have been a bad idea to write it, especially if another one has a worse topic. BUT I also totally agree with you in not-doing-more-work-than-is-remotely-necessary!
My Architecture professor has said that he won't curve anything in the class because he does not "reward mediocrity."
I logged on to the courses D2L page today to see this: "You will notice final exam grades are posted and that you now have a number for your final grade. Don't panic, this is NOT your final grade as the class is graded on a curve. Your actual final grade will appear on PAWS next week."
Works for me!

I got 4 of my final papers back. 3 were 100%'s. One was a 77%. But seeing as how I was getting a 105% in the class I got the 77 in...I don't care. Woot!
