This isn't philosophical, though I do have some philosophical questions, but it SHOULD get you thinking (if I can explain it in a way you can understand); it's kinda metaphysical. Our perception of time is linear, but how do we know it's linear? We don't. We just perceive it that way. Most theories accept that time is the dimension that contains our 3 dimensions, but is our timeline a line, point, or shape in a bigger dimension? Is it by itself? Does it have forces that act on it similar to gravity or magnetism? Maybe the present is a point or sphere or something, that orbits around another object that exists in the same dimension as time does. Maybe it forms more of a loop, like a piece of string. Every time it doubles back on itself it causes time-based phenomenae like deja vu and foretellings of the future or what have you. Yeah, this is one of the things that keeps me up at night, and it's not even the worst.

when you are talking about all universes at once it is called the multiverse.

if time does double back on itself, at what point and how frequently does it happen? is that maybe why you don't experience deja vu too frequently? maybe the universe resets itself every few millenia or so... or perhaps the supposed Big Bang is the universe resetting itself. i do not know. i wrote a paper in creative writing once about this kind of thing (jake probably knows what i'm talking about) and in it i said that the answer to it all is probably either so complex and foreign that our brains aren't capable of understanding it or it is so obvious and simple that we will all want to kill ourselves for not figuring it out sooner.
