Grrrrrrrrr... I'm REALLY annoyed with all this Swine Flu crap. People are freaking out unnecesarily. The only people who have died from this up until a few days ago were in Mexico City which is the biggest city in the whole freaking world so duh, health isn't going to be good. The ONE person who died of swine flu in the U.S. was a toddler who was in Mexico City, went over the border, and then died. I'm sorry the kid died, but children are more prone to health dangers than everyone but old folks so why should we worry so much? They just closed four public schools in Milwaukee because a couple people experienced "swine-flu like" symptoms. Hello?! If you read anything truthful about this disease it has the same freaking symptoms as regular flu.

Its rediculous.

Also, the papers (especially The Herald Time Reporter) are just feeding the panic.

My biology professor lectured on Swine Flu on monday... I guess his sister is in charge of OK-ing flu vacines and got a lot of info from her. He said that flu strains that spread pandemically-fast are not very dangerous. In fact, usually the faster it spreads, the weaker it is! This is because flu's that kill quickly (or at all) don't get the chance to spread/reproduce and infect others. So there.

Exactly! I am thankful that UWM said that it would not close down with so few days left. Instead, if you are a person with a flu you shouldn't come to school and they'll let you make up your exams afterwards!
