Ok, here's the philosophy topic for anyone and everyone, young and old, perceptionist or concretionist, aetheist or religious, nuturist or naturalist, creationist or evolutionist, and anything else with an ist after it. talk about anything philosophical-like here, and remember--it's not a stupid remark unless everybody thinks it is. good luck
in our perception, he either couldn't create it or couldn't lift it, thus disproving his omnipotence in one way or the other. however, if he's truly all powerful, though it defies our humanly limited perception, he could. if something/someone is truly all powerful, it doesn't simply mean that physical limitations do not apply, it means that there are no limitations. the limitless power extends beyond our comprehensible thought.

oops, double clicked submit post, so this post is now devoted to a new question. When we are moving, are we moving, or is the world moving around us. ITS ALL PERCEPTION

Sometimes when I think at night, I have this crazy idea about life and afterlife. Bear with me, this may become garbled
You know how when you fall asleep, you wake up without any prior knowledge on when exactly you fell asleep. You just wake up, and that time is lost, but you don't know whats going on. Its instant. But what happens when you die? Do you all of a sudden not have any thoughts or memories, makes sense right, but if thats the case, if in our future we die, and then we don't have any memories, then how come we are not already dead so to speak. Like, if we died, we would have no prior knowledge on what happened before so what we are doing now would have no bearing on when we are dead.
But, we do know what is going on right now, so I think there is something after death (i.e. heaven...shut up joe) or otherwise why would we be here consciously, thinking, remembering. Otherwise we would be concsious?
That probably doesn't make much sense, but try and think real hard and maybe you can find insight into my mind.

i gert the feeling that your mind is like one of those mazes or puzzles that you work on for hours determined to finish if only for a sense of accomplishment or intelligence, but really there is no solution that exists, so you eventually have to give up, feeling incomptetent and unintelligent.
i can follow your points, but they don't tie together...either clarify the concept or restate the question.

Also, there is one theory that gets me thinking: do we all see the same color? Sure we all may agree that brown is brown, but is the brown you see actually green to me? Its mind boggling, and I don't think that there is any way to find out whether or not we see colors differently.
